How is your power team?

02-05-14
This morning the programme considered the 1966 World Cup, something very dear to those of us of a certain age and something which is now becoming part of folklore for current England fans. Interviewed were heroes Martin Peters, George Cohen and Geoff Hurst. As well as playing Kenneth Wolstenholme’s classic line for England’s fourth goal and Geoff Hurst’s hat-trick (the only one to be scored in a world cup final); ‘..some people are on the pitch , they think it’s all over, it is now’, they also spoke to others who were there on that day on 30th June 1966.

Actor Terence Stamp was at the match and described how at the time he felt that it was as if there were a connection between the energy in the crowd and the energy of the England players on the pitch with the crowd and the whole country willing them on and energising them to do more, which is exactly what they did.

Do you have a power team energising you and urging you to achieve your goals. All of us need them and from time to time when our own energy is sapping having someone to call upon who can provide that encouragement, that energy to go forward can be the difference between success and failure, between achieving your goals and not reaching them.
Surround yourself with people who can be your ‘power team’, people who you trust, who you can test your plans against and who when required can re-energise you to reach out and achieve the goals you have set.
