Simon Monaghan, Regional Director for Business Doctors Leeds & North Yorkshire has been elected as Chairman of the Leeds Branch of The Federation of Small Businesses.
Simon has been an FSB member for almost two years and as the new Chair he is proposing that the new branch Committee will focus on engaging with the branch’s 1200 local FSB members.
“It’s an honour to be part of this well established FSB group. As the owner of a growing business myself, I know how important getting my opinion heard is, and the FSB has a significant role to play as the voice of small business.
The new committee is looking to find ways to better engage with the 1200 members of the Leeds branch. We want to hear their views so we can better represent them on the matters that mean the most to them.
We are looking to freshen up the meetings, venues, timings and formats to bring more members to our meetings. We want to provide members with a useful forum that we hope will empower them with new skills and the confidence to help them manage their businesses better.
I am really looking forward to the next year, the opportunities for small businesses in Leeds are huge, and it’s an exciting time ahead for everyone.”
