Do you realise how your experience can make setting your own business up much less scary for a new entrepreneur?
Have you ever thought about how little of your time it can take as a volunteer to make someone’s journey towards business success and self-fulfilment much smoother?
Supporting the JobCentre’s New Enterprise Allowance programme, which aims to help start hundreds of new businesses throughout the year, we want to encourage more experienced business people to sign up to mentor new businesses in Bradford and contribute to the future success of our city.
Mentoring a new business can make all the difference. Not everyone makes it, but some people who have gone through the programme within the last twelve months are well on their way to running growing six figure businesses and they will remember the help they had at the start for a very long time.
And you probably have all of the skills you need already, even if you think you aren’t cut out to be a mentor.
We will provide training, induction and the support you need to help you concentrate on making a difference.
If you think you can spare an hour or so per month to mentor a new Bradford business owner, please register for one of the short information sessions to be held on 10th July or 15th July at 5:30pm at Bradford University’s world-leading sustainable enterprise centre, the re:centre.
At the session, we will talk to you about how you can help aspiring business owners, what’s in it for you and what support the New Enterprise Allowance programme provides. You will also get to meet other business mentors and the project team. Refreshments will be provided.
